Josies daughter in law was very upset but I had to do what was right for him! I read all about "imprinting" and I worry he will not do well when he is released. They assure me he is learning to be a scrub jay and not a human. He is in with 3 other young scrub jays.
He will be released right where I found him which is right here. Im hoping that wont happen till we get back July 17th.
I would like to be here, but...Im trying not to attach myself to outcomes and stay out of trying to fix things.
It would be nice if he remembers me.
It was such a wonderful experience... and so emotional, gosh its been emotional....such tears! Lol...Estrogen!

Yeah, they can get to you. I raised a young crow who had been knocked out of his nest in a storm . . . when I finally shooed him out into the wild I felt much the same.
