Do your pets have some strange/quirky habits?

I ask this because I have a dog that licks everything! Literally! She lays on the couch and just licks the couch. She licks her feet all the time; heck, she'll even lick my feet! lol She even licks my other dog.

I have a cat who will drink water from the toilet like a dog! haha and when my daughter (one yrs old) babbles and talks to him he makes weird noises back lol he's "special"

My cat does that too! I have to keep the toilet lids closed so he will stay out. He has a perfectly good water fountain thingy in the kitchen, but he still chooses to drink out of the toilet.

The one really crazy thing he does is get territorial about the shower. I have a shower in my master bathroom that just has a lip you step over vs. having a full-blown tub/shower combo. Every morning, and I mean EVERY morning, he waits behind the shower curtain to attack my feet. He doesn't realize I can see his nose and tail sticking out. He then pounces on my feet while quickly biting them and looking up to meow at me like he's saying, "Don't go in my fort!" (He does think it's his fort). If I try to get in the shower anyway, he will swipe at my feet and actually get in the shower WITH me to attack my feet. I have to have something (like a hair scrunchy) in the bathroom to throw out into the bedroom to distract him. Even still sometimes he makes it back in time to attack before I get the curtain closed.

When I get out, he's there waiting. I always imagine the theme from "Jaws" when it's shower time.

strange habits? are you kidding?

my old cat Merlin was a toilet-drinker. he was hit by a car, his pelvis crushed, don't even mention the broken leg. my dad caught him during his convalesence coming out of the bathroom - he couldn't resist. PS - he lived another 2 years, hunting & climbing trees. but his tail was paralyzed...

Sidney, Goffin's Cockatoo, likes to bite kitty tails. one morning i heard my dad say "Sidney, how dare you do that to him?" Sid was perched above Merlin in the kitchen, industriously pulling fur out of Merlin's tail. better than chewing her own feathers, i guess.

Happy bird (sun conure) can eat in the dark. Sidney can't, but won't eat dinner till i cover her cage. so i cover them, then Sidney will call me when she's done eating & wants the light turned off. and i better hustle!

with the two birds, nine cats & a jack russell puppy, i could tell stories all day. plus i have raccoon stories - they are good for a belly laugh every day.

the puppy won't eat dry puppy food: he prefers cat food. when i open a can of dog food, the cats rush over to eat & puppy waits till they are done. go figure.

My cat also is a toilet drinker and she loves taking showers with me and I thought they hated water lol she also attacks the dogs tail every time she lays down she is just like an annoying little sister

My poodle loves licking everything and anything does that alot too i guess thats there way of showing love and my lab licks his paws like cats do oh and most weird thing he loves getting on the hammock lol i have never met a dog that likes hammocks my lab is definitely weird haha gotta love them though <3

My Boy makes seal (the animal) noises when he wants something or something is bothering him. Which is ALL THE TIME!lol
My Girl she hops like a bunny when she gets excited.

I have 2 labs, that are inside and both pick thru their dogfood, will put few pieces in mouth, then walk over to rug and put on the rug, smell each piece and eat one by one. Like they are putting the best over to side to eat last, strange!

I have a boxer lab mix puppy and i swear she'd think she's a cat. Shes constantly pouncing at things, she used to try to sharpen her little puppy paws on my carpet til i bought her a cat scratch post so now she uses that, and she is forever rubbing against things when she wants to be petted, sometimes i think if she could purr she would lol... but the funniest part about it all is she has never even been around a cat a single day in her life!

She is a little dogcat (instead of catdog.....like that cartoon)

When I had my dogs, the one would always greet me at the door with a stuffed toy. (the squeaky ones) One day I came home and she must have heard me too late. She was on her way out the back (dog door) she froze, looked at me, looked in the back yard, then dashed out to the yard ran back in with her squeaky frog in her mouth......lol. It cracked me up.

My 120 pound Snt bernard/Boxer howls to songs on the TV....all of the good ones!

Today I found out that my fish wants to eat the Wii remote. I was twirling the remote in front of the tank and started hearing some splashing so i turned around and he was following the remote, Ive never seen my fish react to anything. He's lazy.
