Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

So yesterday I get an email from my bf telling me that they have had alarms sounding at all kinds of hours and they'll sound for 10min straight. In his email he stated that it was driving him insane and was like torture. His words not mine. So I asked him if they were just testing it and he said no. I'd ask if this type of treatment is normal but have learned that the word normal doesn't exist in BOP's dictionary. I feel so bad for all of those folks having to go through that. Obviously there is nothing anyone can do about this right??

Right, nothing. All they can hope for is that it irritates the COs as much as it does the inmates, then it might get fixed.

The inmates can file grievances!! Just like in the past, I've heard of inmates filing grievances over a cop shining a flashlight in their faces and waking them up at night (and getting it stopped).
