A poem my man wrote me... thought I'd share.

The Key to My Heart

"All my life, I shielded my heart from people to use,
I locked it away tight, from all kinds of abuse.
I kept it within, never showing any emotions,
I was going through life, faking devotions.
Never believing that love was more than just a game,
So I kept playing people, and using them all the same.
When you came into my life, you caught me by surprise,
And I knew my emotions I'd never be able to hide.
My heart has been locked away for far too long,
Not knowing how it would react to the love that you've shown.
The key that you hold leads straight to me heart,
It's filled with emotions, please don't tear it apart.
With my emotions released, my heart now filled with compassion,
My life with you I could have never imagined.
I give you my heart's key in unsure faith,
In hope you will love and protect it, whatever we face.
Our lives together, only God himself could send.
So I threw away the key to my heart, because I'll never need it again."

I think he forgot about "giving me the key to his heart", because of the last line he "threw it away" lol. But he's such a softie either way
He drew me a heart with our initials and anniversary date inside, and wrote "eleven hundred miles won't stop our love" and "together we will conquer the world" around it, plus he drew me the butterfly that he always doodles for me and managed to chalk it purple.

Does your men do sweet things like this for you? His last letter was 11 pages long, and 4 of those pages alone were the poem and drawings he did for me. (Sorry if this is a long post, I could go on all day about him
