New release possibilities? / Administrative Release

My son called and asked me to check into rumors that he is hearing concerning the six month early release being changed. Unfortunately he did not give me enough info to go on to be able to do an informed search. He also said that he believes that the DOC is going to allow non-violet inmates currently serving in the prisons to move to county jails. Has anyone heard anything about these issues? If so please please please point me in the right direction to look. I have been gone a while but my thoughts have never been far, hope everyone is doing alright (or as alright as any of us can be).

My suggestion is this becasue what is most likely happening is that there have been some news reports about bills that are being proposed for the next legislative session. These rumors start every year about this time as we get closer to january and the new session starts

That being said anyone can goto the LRC website The Legislative Journal and get a free copy sent to them it outlines all the committee notes and as they go in session really goes into details about how the votes are going what changes are being made to the bills and whatnot.

Its called Administrative Release....inmates are eligible 6 months before serve out date. I know of several who have been paroled out recently on AR . I believe we can thank last year's HB 463 for the early Homecomings

Ask you son to speak with his Counselor or Class D Coordinator.
