Default Would you risk your life, to save his?

Let's be honest about it now. There are a lot of people who can't honestly say that they will put their life down the line just to even have a little chance in saving someone else. So, would you risk yours to save his? And in your honest opinion, how many people do you think would actually come through with their words? When it comes down to it, would they jump in front of that bullet, or would they just stand there and watch?

No I wouldn't and he wouldn't want me too. As much as I love my husband I love our kids more. Besides, if I did and he lived and I died he'd hate himself and me forever. So nope I wouldn't.

My soon-to-be-ex-husband is the type of wimpy man that would stand BEHIND me if a bullet came our way. I've ways known that. Not because he doesn't (didn't) love me but because he is a wuss. However my man would DEFINITELY jump in front to save my life. No doubt about it. It would be an instant response for him.

I would say I'd want to do the same for him sooo bad but to be honest when it comes down to it, I'm always a mother to my children first...I would definitely do it to save one of their lives...but I'd be torn between saving my man's life versus taking my kids mom away from them permanently. Which one is more selfless or selfish?

I think no matter what you think or say you would or wouldn't do....you can't really know unless the opportunity to do it presented itself. I'd like to think I WOULD....for my man or anyone else I love very much....even for a stranger....as a veteran but until such a thing should happen I have no idea WHAT I truly might do! So I say yes...I hope!!!

No, I would not, because HE wouldn't want me to. He's already had one wife that died.

My first thought was "no" I wouldn't. Then I felt that is was selfish.. after reading the responses, I still say 'no'. He would not forgive me. Or himself. I am really glad that I am not the only one who thinks that way.

Wow...when I saw the my post and ticker...OMG!!!

Honestly I would because I know he would do the same for me. Although he may not want me to, I love him to much to lose him and if that's what it takes that's what I'll do risk mine for him. Maybe that's just me

Nope! I would not take a bullet for him or anyone else....my life is precious. This has nothing to do with the amount of love I have for him, it is about the importance of MY life.

Peace~

I have been in a situation so yes, definitely I would. It was my natural instinct to get in front of him. Although he is a very strong manly man but it just happened so fast but luckily no one was hurt!! I would do anything for him.

No and this is why.

I have a 3 year old and a 1 month old and they need me. He wouldn't want me to do it, he knows my babies need their mama and he'd never let me jump in front of a bullet for him.

Every day brings me one day closer to you....<3

You're right - you don't know what you would do unless or until the situation is presented and for me it has been. I worked with gang members for many years and I stepped between intended victims and the shooter on several occasions. For me it is instinctual, with that in mind and even knowing he wouldn't want me to, if it were my man I do not see how I could not respond in the same way.

I hope neither one of us are ever in that position. You never know-how things happen so fast that we react without thinking. But what will the reaction be? I just can't answer.
