Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Good morning all,
I am new to this whole situation and site, My son is in state prison in NJ. This has been horrible since he was sentenced 2 months ago. He has been moved 4 times in 2 months so contact has been limited..very limited.
I only know he was assaulted and has stitiches in his head, I am lost and distraught all the time.
When i found this site I immediately felt a bit better. There are so many helpful and wonderful posts that give instant encouragment and hope.
I am so scared and life is so different now.
I pray for him every day and I pray for all your children as well.
I thank you all for your posts and being a part of this wonderful site.

Welcome, Caremark. My heart aches for you, wondering how your son is, not being able to give him a big hug. Stay close to us--we are all here for you and for each other.

Bless your heart caremark!! DANG...you sure are getting a full dose of ugly in the beginning....this is heartbreaking. KEEP BREATHING...AND PRAY. I just really HATE this for you...and for your son. Please KNOW that God has your son in His capable hands....and that He will see him through this mess....and He'll see you through too.
The lack of contact is almost unbearable at times....so we pray. I think you can write him no matter what...or where he is...he SHOULD always get his mail.
I AM PRAYING for you....and for your son....and GOD IS ON THE JOB....HE IS.
PLEASE keep us posted...and we'll keep praying....for God's protection and provision.
This too shall pass....just not fast enough ... but it will pass.

thank you for responding. i appreciate the kind and encouring words.. I hold onto to hope and pray constantly. I have written every 3 days but i dont know what he is receving since he keeps moving. I am just sending them to the last place i know for sure he was at.
these 2 months have been unbearable but thanks to you and others like you.. you help me and others to hang on.
My deepest thanks to all who respond to me and others who stuggle daily. I cant wait to hear from him, this seems like torture.
I hope at least things settle and he gets in one spot and in PC -
Hopefully i hear something this week.

Thank you again and send my best thoughts and prayers to your loved ones as well.

Welcome to the Parents forum. I'm so sorry for the hardships you and your son are suffering. Wow! I hope your son is already in PC since he's already been hurt. I can't imagine your worry. When my son was moved from the county jail to the State system I was so scared, of exactly what has happen with your son, at night before I fell asleep I would hand my worries over to God, it helped me rest my mind. I hope by now you know you do not need to feel so all alone on this journey. You can count on my prayers too!

Thank you RaRi, I really apreciate it, I cant help my feelings and i cant seem to control them. I have been able to handle soo many things that have come my way but this is just extreme esp. since I and 98% of people who know us and this case all believe he doesnt belong in prison.. its the craziest thing and he and I have many who are behind us..but that didnt stop the judge. So I pray, and wait. I can only hope his appeal turns out better, but i have lost faith in the system.

caremark please hang on to your faith, I understand you are shaken to your very core, I was too but I knew my son deserved to be in prison, I didn't agree with the charge or sentence though. Stay focused on that appeal. I have always said Everything happens for a reason, even when we don't understand or can fathom the reason but I do trust God has a plan. I remember thinking would I rather have my son out and free only to lose him forever (for some reason) or have him be in prison for 15 years? I know it's hard to think like that but it did help me hang on to my Faith and sanity. Things will get better, keep telling yourself and the universe this.
