Hi! I decided Im going this fall to see Chris, Im excited about it and so is he.
He has been a wonderful pen pal and ive been terrible at writing. just so much going on, which is good i am so grateful to be working!
So, probably in November I will be going and that will be here in a heartbeat, time flies faster and faster!

35 days until my Michigan PP is released! Just felt like sharing that with someone...I'm getting anxious and so is his family.

I went and met up with his mom, dad and 2 year old adopted little brother over the weekend. I spent all day Sunday with them, and played with his little brother. I even went shopping and out to dinner with his mom. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! It wasn't really that weird meeting them before having met him face-to-face. It made me MORE excited. His mom made sure to let me know that I'm "family". Aww

I am having a great time with the kids whilst they are on holiday. Today we have had a Teddy Bears picnic and made chocolate crispy cakes

My son and daughter in law are taking my eldest grandaughter to the seaside for the day tomorrow so I am having my little grandaughter to stay

Rickysgrl - Yippeee not long now

I think its great you have met his family and that you are all getting on so well

I am really behind with my letters, I have caught up on all my cards but I just cant seem to get into the writing mood

Lisa I hear you about the writing ...I'm way behind and

I want your opinions pls - last night I was watching a prison documentary and one of the inmates who was interviewed really pulled on my heart strings - he's been beat up picked on and other unmentionables and I really want to send him something....has anyone sent an inmate something out of the blue, as in you've read or heard about them on tv and they did not solicit a pen pal...I can't take on new pals right now but just something to tell him to stay strong....do u think it's ok?

I haven't heard from my Texas PP in over a month. This is one of the longest periods of time that we've gone without talking to each other. I keep writing her to let her know that I'm here. I know she gets in her moods sometimes where she just doesn't want to write but she appreciates my mail. I also know that sometimes she gets in trouble. I hope everything is okay! The longer I go without talking to her the more separated I feel. I hate it, but I'll just keep being a good friend and sending her love and support!

33 Days until my MI PP comes home! Woohoo! I got the cutest phone call from his 2 year old little brother on Monday. He said he missed me. Aww.

I hope everyone is doing well! I feel like it's a slow time for mail these days!

I havent had much mail but I am still in a writing funk so it my own fault

We have had a good day here with some nice weather so the kids have been out in the pool

Karen - Yes I would send a card, I think its wonderful to reach out to someone

Yay i'm back online

Wow i cant believe we are so far through the year!!! Well i had to get a new andriod phone and it took a few days for me to get PTO back on it and i was so excited. But unfortunately i can get to the inbox but i dont have a big enough data allowance and service to be able to check all my threads : sad&blue:. But i now have my new laptop and of course PTO is my first website i went on to catch up with everyone

Kind of stressed i have had 5 weeks back at TAFE and in the first week we got 11 assignments and i have 1 week left to hand everything in, so i'm behind in my letters and cards

so i am hoping to get my last 6 worksheets done tonight so i can do my cards tonight and then ask my dad to send in the morning!! I have only gotten 2 letters in ages glad to hear from Will, i miss him. Since the whole thing of me writing to a few people Will just seems more distant. I also got a letter from my new pen pal, he told me he will do his best to write in English but he suggested as i am a student i should buy a Spanish dictionary so i can translate too. But better heard off and get these worksheets done!! I am going to reward myself and in between each worksheet come and catch up on a different

thread. So i dont doubt that it will motivate me to get them done fast

well i've been away for a long while i know but finally decided to came back, cuz i missed u all...
ok so there are important updates here, this is gonna be long so i apologize ahead of time.
I haven't gotten news from martin for around two months, despite all the letter i sent to ask if everything was ok , i even called the prison to know but they wouldnt tell me... Then a few weeks ago i got a letter from the same facility, but from someone i didn't know...
It happenned that martin told that guy he haven't give me any news for a long time, and that guy asked if he could get my adress and martin simply gave it to him, nice right? so i heard from a third party that my boyfriend didn't want to be in contact with me anymore with no reasons at all...
he told that guy only great things about me, still he hadn't got the guts to dump me by himself and with an explanation...
So yeah i've been away from all that crap for a while, i was just to disapointed, disgusted and many other things, it was a pill which was kinda hard to swallow...
If it weren't thanks to my death row pal i would have simply drop it all i guess,but he told me that not all the guys are such jerks and well he's right, i finally ended up replying to that guy, telling him the whole story behind that and well we'll see if we become friends or something, i also wrote to a friend of my cousin who is locked up in tx and another guy in iowa which was on a prisonner without mail list, i should start to get reply from these two next week...
sorry for the long post; how is everybody doing? Are u all still here or did some of you dissapear as well?

I was posting few ads to the penpals and I was wondering that have many inmates got penpals through Prisontalk's penpal ads? Here is very much ads and there are so many ads also in other websites so I'm wondering if someone is really looking for penpals from this forum? Or is that simply very stupid question?

I have been looking for free penpal websites where I could add my babe's friends info but every site is very expensive, that feels so cruel :S

No mail today. This month has been crazy, frustrating, etc... I will be glad when it is over. I cannot wait for Fall to be here either. We had a hail storm today, thunder, lightning it was so neat. Hope it didn't damage my car though.

I was just about to say how crazy and frustrating this month has been for me too! Just a little too hectic.

Same here, this month has been crazy, I am waaaayyyy behind on my mail and I really need to get caught up

But ths kids are off school till the 5th Sept and they keep me busy as well as my grandaughters. But I do have a quiet day ( hopefully ) tomorrow so I am going to try and catch up

hey girls, it's sooo calm here these days, where are u all?
i got mail this morning from a new penpal, i wrote him two weeks ago, found his add on lost vault, but now i have issues with it...On lostvault it said that he had done a robbery but he told me that it's a friend from jail who had asked someone to put up the add behind his back and his crime isnt exactly that kind...he said he is a sex offender charged with 3rd victime 12 to 15 years...Does that mean he is a pedophile, i don't get it very well i don't know anything about sexual offenses law... i m a bit lost here cuz he seems really nice and he is in need of a friend and i don't like to judge someone according to a crime but still i have kids... though one, what should i do?
Anyone can help me or give me a piece of advice? pm me if so

Hey Katsuki, I would say it's a good sign he told you about his crime. But I would research on the state website or maybe google his name to see if you can find what the crime was like and if YOU are comfortable writing someone who did that. We all have our boundaries.

Hi everyone else .. I haven't made it to this thread very much recently. Things have been hectic for me.

My dad has to have MORE surgery for blockage in his carotid artery now.

He just turned 69 so he's not a baby anymore .. so please pray for him to make it through this as well as he did the other surgeries he had this summer. Today is my bday...I woke up to my beautiful babies telling me Happy Bday .. made my day !

My pen pals probably forgot who I am I've been slacking on writing so much lately. LOL Last week I finally sent out a bunch of cards just saying I'm still here ... just dealing with alot, so hopefully that clears the air a little.

How is everyone ?? I get to see my baby next week so I am extremely anxious and excited for that !

Hi everyone. So this month has both been amazing and horrible. Us getting the house was obviously amazing but since then.. Ugh. Last Wednesday was my grandpa's funeral and it was horrible and I cried more than ever before. But it was a really pretty day and the service was beautiful... And D is in love with me, a lot, and I can't do it so today I wrote a letter that I can't and that I hope we can continue our friendship but I have a feeling we can't after this. So I'm just really down right now.

Katsuki, I'm sorry your ex boyfriend is such a whimp and that he did that to you. You deserve better than that. So disrespectful! Xo

I don't know.. It's up to everyone where they draw their line I think. I would never write a sex offender and definitely not someone who's molested kids in any way. My reasons are simple, my dad did that to me growing up and that kind of behavior is sick and disgusts me. Plus I have a son who I will do anything to protect from that kind of thing. But that's me and my opinions, I know people who think differently and that's ok, but that's how I think.
