The BPP has denied clemency. His lawyer has requested an en banc review of his appeal. So there are motions pending.

I contacted Govenor Perry to protest the execution of John Balentine, mamma. Hope so much it supports to stop this horror.
I feel fear about the Aug. 22...

All of Johns friends, family and John himself are in my prayers. A seven day candle is burning in my fire place for all of you and I hope, the day it will be burned out, everything has turned into good for you.
My heart and thoughts are with you.

I'm so angry. What the hell is Gov. Perry thinking who he is? All these attendant circumstances are so gruesome and inhuman. Shame on you, Texas.

Dear Willove,

how would you call someone who knew days before the Willingham execution about the innocent of the inmate (but did not stop the execution) and years later, when each doubt was gone about Willinghams guilt, stopped the commission and limited their power.
This is Rick Perry! He is a synonym in the entire cultivated world for everything he pretends to fight against...

I rather say not how I would call that person. At another place I get sanctioned when I expressed it.

I still pray for justice and humanity. My thoughts are with Mr. Balentine.

The 5CA has denied a rehearing. Next stop--the USSC. Please keep calling/emailing Gov Perry.

I don't know if you mean his appeal process, or the original case history, but here's what happened.

Please, don't believe for granted what you can read on newspaper or Internet.
The whole story, what really happened that day and days before, is not on Internet or came out at trial.

Who cared that John's family was threatened by the KKK? John was afraid for them. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to know and only revenge did matter and still do.

When I read some posts on internet. They are nothing but hate, pathetic revenge and a shame for humanity.

Needless to say that I am very sorry for the victims and their family.
But Who is thinking of John's family members currently ? Who is thinking about his children and mother and sister and brothers ?

In both way, this story is tragic and a legal murder will not change anything.

Keep John and his family in your thoughts and or prayers. thank you for him.

You are so kind my sweet friend. When you have a few minutes maybe you can tell how to survive this! I hope you are doing okay, I know you've been through a lot.

Please everyone, keep up the calls and emails to Gov Perry. His contact info is above.

Nothing I can say will prepare anyone for the instant void they will feel. Not a day goes by that I don't think of billy or relive what happened. Could I have done more? Did I leave something unsaid? This is my daily ritual 2yrs after his execution. I haven't dated anyone because nobody compares to my sweet bug. The reason I go on is because billy made me promise NOT to let this be the defining moment in my life. I try everyday to remember those words. The reason I believe billy loved me so was because i have that ability to dig deep and carry on. I wasn't prepared for a few things that happened such as my name hitting the papers. That brought the haters out of the woodwork and I was under personal attack for meerly loving someone. I have learned not to reply to the hateful words printed about him. Its very hard. To survive watching your loved one murdered before your eyes takes daily maintenance. You can go to a very dark place or you can live in the light of his memory. Today I choose to do the latter. In this process I also remember the victims and the family of those murdered at the hands of my loved one and I am so sorry for there loss. I believe with all my heart billy is in a better place waiting for me when its my time and I draw comfort from that...I hope this helps someone out a bit. Much love and respect in your battle for johns life!

Still nothing to hear from SCOTUS. I take it as a good sign.
Lets keep our fingers crossed and pray together for John and his friends.

In Switzerland it is 12.23 am now, I will share the time with you until we hopefully get good news.

Hugs and Love!

ITS STAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Justices decided Wednesday to halt the punishment until it resolves an appeal seeking review of John Balentine's case. The reprieve for the 43-year-old inmate came less than an hour before the former auto mechanic's scheduled execution in Huntsville.
