OK! I need to know what phone provider you ladies use for your hubby's/boyfriend.. im currently using ic solutions but its so expensive.. please help me! thanks

You can't get past ic solutions. You gotta go thru them..What I did was I went to prison call solutions and set up an account thru them. (Make sure you get the unlimited package if you do this) and then they'll get you a local number to the prison that your man calls. It'll forward the call to your number. But you still go thru ic solutions. It made my calls go from $5 down to $1.95/call. Hope this helps

It was a glitch, they got it fixed now! Thank GOD!!!. Google voice its a free service, thats why I use it. I'm a single out of work mom. I can barely afford the calls as it is! If you want to go that way let me know pm me. I can help you if you have questions.

Ive been using google voice also but as ICSOLUTIONS will only allow you to put $200 a mth on your account with a card. It doesnt matter if you usee differnt card. You can only put $200 a month on your account with a card but you cna use western union which here western union is expensive to send money. Its like 13 to 14$ just to send money. Oh also for those of you new to ICSOLUTION. If you make an account with them online you can pay online and there is no charge for putting money on an account besides tax. If you call them and set up an account and put money on the account over the phone its $6.95 just to put money on an account. I like saving money especially since I just got laid off which has caused so much problems for me. I was suppose to start school soon and dont have the money. Anyways, I thank all of you for your help and post and wish all of you the best. Any questions needing help let me know Im here for you. Will do my best.......

Any time I see something about Google Voice, I always try to add this warning just in the hopes that I'm erring on the side of caution. With any option you choose (including cell phone plans) to try to lower call costs, please check with the facilty first (some facilities don't allow calls to cell phones at all). Please be aware that it is against Federal BOP and all state DOC rules for an inmate to use “third party” services that try to reduce prison call costs. Some services like GoogleVoice, ConsCallHome, or PrisonCallSolutions (and many others) forward calls to another line, and call forwarding is not allowed. If you have GoogleVoice or one of these other services that forwards calls and your loved one is calling you, you are breaking those BOP or DOC rules. When the BOP or DOC finds out (and they will eventually), you could lose visitation and phone privileges. Google Voice definitely forwards calls to a different line; GV even talks about it on their own help desk site. Facilities have the technology to detect forwarded calls. When the facility detects a forwarded call (and it could be tomorrow or years from now), there are consequences. One of those consequences is disallowing the inmate to call the number that was forwarded and the person who owns the forwrded and/or forwarded-to phone could be taken off the inmate’s visitors list. I know the calls are expensive, but we have to follow their rules. I'm sorry.

Since call forwarding is not allowed by the facilities, discussing "how to" get those services borders on illegal activities which is against PTO policy cited below.

Please be sure to check with the facility first! It's better to be safe than sorry! Good luck to everyone!

You have no choice, IC Solutions is the provider for Nevada and one way or another, they will be involved in your call. You can get a service that will give you a local number but IC Solutions will be the vehicle that allows the person to call out of the prison to whatever number he/she is calling.
