Default Halfway house is a rehab center

Ok so we found out michael would get no time of for the drug program so he has 23 months left before hwh. I decide to start lookin around and find out what's goin to be the new ruls and things....anything to keep busy I guess. Well I found out the closest hwh to us is a rehab center! The websight doesn't work so I can't get any info and they won't answer the phone. So my question is how does a rehab center function as a hwh?

Not all HWHs or community corrections centers are used by the bop. Here is a list of all of the ones that are currently under contract to house federal inmates.

I have no idea how a rehab center would function as a normal reentry HWH.

The HWH I was sent to is also a rehab center. I can tell you exactly how they work: Badly.
I am very lucky that I was only gone for 14 months, have a great family and it was more like I took a vacation from my life. I also happen to work for myself. Because of all that, the 2 months I was at the HWH was no biggie. It was more restrictive than my camp but it had a/c and I got through it.
If I had actually been looking for a job, trying to find a place to live and transition back into life or had no support system I'd have been in big trouble and I saw many who were. It was a disaster, to put it mildly.
The truth is that if my camp had been air conditioned or my HWH time been in winter (it was July and Aug) I would have stayed at the camp. Any doubts to that were put to rest during my first week at the HWH and I managed to get a message to 3 people at my camp who would have been following me to the HWH to just stay put. They did.

Good luck but don't expect them to help much.
