Default Pit bull allowed to return home, father remains on death row.

Pit bull allowed to return home

McMINNVILLE (AP) — A female pit bull that mauled a neighbor dog last year has been allowed to return to her home in Whiteson, but her father remains on death row.

Yamhill County Judge Ronald Stone in May declared the male half of the pair a vicious animal and sentenced him to die by lethal injection. His daughter, Little Girl, was found dangerous but not vicious, and allowed to return home under conditions designed to protect others.

But Little Girl had to remain in custody because her owner, Sandra Chapman, did not build a dog pen, put up warning signs or purchase an insurance policy covering dog attacks.

Those conditions have now been met, Stone ruled Friday.

Chapman and her husband, Jake Milam, have taken the male pit bull's case to the appellate courts.

Milam had to serve 30 days in jail on a contempt charge because he hurled epithets at the judge at an earlier hearing. He also faces an assault charge for kneeing a prosecutor in the groin.

Hmmm not smart to knee people and scream at them when you are facing jail time. Why is the husband on death row? Because of the dog attack?

The daddy pit bull is on death row.

The human daddy is doing jail time for contempt of court.

The media was trying to be funny.

Hmm.... Another human giving pit bulls a bad name

More than likely the father (dog) was only trying to protect his daughter from a male admirer! OR the human TRAINED the father (dog) to attack anyone/thing that approaches their yard.

And since the human attacked the prosecutor (although I could name a few prosecutors I'd LIKE to knee in the groin) its OBVIOUS who the aggressor is in this family!
