Ok there we go. Thanks for hooking us up. Its great to know that there are programs within some of the penal sytems that remember that our loved ones are still part of a loving family. Hope to see more of this kind of program.

Yesteday my wife told me something about this program called MILK. She said all female jails had it, but she's just in intake so she said she'll wait until she gets to her permenant facility to get invovled with it. She's just getting into the state facilities after 19 months in locals, so she doesn't know too much about it. I'll look it up and post some info.

lol...I've looked online extensively since than and haven't seen anything. Now that she's in better spirits, I'll remember to ask her next time I speak with her. Problem is, during these 15 minute conversations (ok 30...we do back to backers) I'm cramming my whole life and the kids are cramming their's in too . I'll have some info this weekend.

I'm with ya on the phone calls, trying to cram everything in and forgetting the obvious. You talk about what you need to and don't worry about the milk. We will find out sooner or later.

I spoke to my wife the other day and we managed to cram this into our 30 minutes (Mind you, $18) worth of phone calls. She didn't have much information about it, only that they have, she believes, one day a week with their children for a full day visit (even in facilities that only have 1 or 2 hr visits). Last week, for example, she knows they did arts and crafts with the kids. It's always something going on, not just a visit with mommy.
