Default Parole violation/new charge; Is the new sentence + the time left on parole?

If I take a plea to do 1 to 3 but I have 3 years left on parole will it become a 1-6? Will I have to add the three years I owe. Can my paid attorney negotiate a deal for me? Although I'm innocent in this case in leaning towards taking a plea.

Your attorney will negotiate a deal if you instruct him/her to do so. S/he will talk about what you can expect, what kind of offer the state may make, whether or not you can counter, and on what terms.

Guilty or not - it's your ass that has to sit in prison. If you'd rather sit there for a short amount of time and can live with the knowledge that you did not challenge the charges - that's a good thing. If you'd rather sit there for the most time you could possibly get on the charge after losing at trial and maintain your stance of not guilty - that's also a good thing to know. In the end, it's all about what you are willing to tolerate.

we (fiancee and i) have the same exact question regarding how time works for parole and supervision when you violate. It seems my man's time on supervision completely restarted and he didn't get credit for his time. He didn't get any new commitments just violation so that is why we are confused
