Everytime I get a letter from my husband I read it over and over again and picture him saying every word to me

My letters are my life line out here! In the blink of an eye, beat of my heart, that empty mailbox can detour my emotional state for the rest of the day. Even the rough ones I cherish just to hear from him that day! I don't feel complete without him. That lil white envelope lets me take that deep breath, remind me this is real and for that moment, he is here with me giving me the strength to continue this struggle.

I am so glad to know that there are others out there just like me. I too live for the letters. When I get one, I am on cloud 9. I reason with myself when I don't get a letter. Soon he will be home and I won't need to depend on those little white envelopes.

~President of the mailman stalking club!~

I am very disappointed on Tuesday's and Sunday's. I don't get mail! No mail on Tuesday's because they (DOC) don't send mail out on Saturday, on Sunday because mailman doesn't run (since I'm president of mmsc thinking about changing that)
I feel you girl! Letters and phone calls are our lifelines! My husband and I write everyday! Although last night when he called he said "Boo, I'm so tired, would you be too upset if I didn't write?" I said no because I know he had been out all night until 12am the night before and had been up at 4am that day and been back out at 5am for clean up for the hurricane. So come Monday, I won't be getting a letter. (Just have to remember I told him it was OK). Dang!! Just thought about something. That means I won't get a letter for 3 days straight!!!!!
My mailman is a mail woman and when she sees me at the hairdresser, she gives me my mail then!

I also have to agree. I don't think I could have said it better, but I definitely feel the EXACT same way. I think most of us feel that way. The days I don't get a letter, it's like, "well, today SUCKSS!!!".

I have mine crossed with you too! As president of the mailman stalking club I am crossing both hands and my toes in hope that today brings you a letter. Wait, need to un-cross toes to walk and fingers to type but will re-cross them as soon as I sit down and finish typing!

Some are ordinary..how was your day..stuff and then you have the fabulous ones. My guy was saying the other day that through letters alot of good stuff can be done in a relationship. Great idea for a relationship/self-help book don't you think? He said..."don't be surprised if you keep getting them when I come home, especially if I need to chew your a*s out!" I also live for the letters. There is that saying that when you're away those are the kisses or something like that! lol It's true! I love his letters so much. I got two today! I hate when the mail gets screwed up though. I would love to have one everyday, but even if he sends one out everyday I usually get them all in one day! GRR. At least I eventually get them lol

You know i think God was on fire when he made me...im telling you i was so strung out on this man! BAD! i would tell clients their hair was in bad condition so i "had to" put a deep conditioner on their hair and put them under a heat lamp for 30 minutes...then i'd jump in the car and an ZOOOOOOOMMM*************>>>>> up to my house to check the mail!
Thank heavens gas was cheaper then. yup, i sure loved those letters. Today he keeps texting me "please call me"...he can text till the cows come home! but its nice to remember the old days....

Letters are very important I think for both, its a great to communicate get your feelings out so both knows what the other is thinking.. no guessing games or silence on the phone because maybe somethings bothering you but you just dont know how to say it, its nice to write it down sometimes.

like all of you, i also live for his letters just like i know he lives for mine. i go and check my mailbox at least twice everyday around the time i know the mailman passes, waiting anxiuosly for the letters. if it wasnt for the letters this would have been even harder on us. since he has never gotten any phone calls only one time in pratically 2 years, the letters are evrything for us. the good thing is my baby is finally coming home to me and our son in 2 months, so it will be good having him here instead of communicating mainly through letters and visits. so in 2 more months no more letters which if finally a good thing.

Wendi~that's too funny, but a lil scary cuz I question my own sanity thru this whole ordeal! I constantly tell myself, breathe girl, c'mon it's "only" a letter. Yeah right, "only" a piece of my heart and soul that's ripped out when I don't see that lil white envelope!

LovingSoul4u2~As our leader, I need your magic fingers and toes on my mailbox tomorrow!

Oh, as a blonde, guess that makes me frosted flakes!

I feel the same way about the phone calls too. I love Christopher's letters, and like so many of you who have posted in this thread, there are days when not getting a letter has the ability to ruin the rest of my day. I'm in cali and Christopher is in Jersey, so I to depend on his phone calls. After getting used to them, I have a hard time not hearing from him for a few days sometimes let alone a longer period of time... A lot of great stuff can be done through letters in a rlsp. I cherrish every letter I receive from him weather its just a baisc letter, a letter that will cause us to work on our relationship, or one he wrote because he was going through something and needed a lil extra lovin'! Our relationships might not be conventional. but it sure is worth it isnt it??

My mailman is a really cool dude. When my guy first left county, I was waiting in my driveway for the mailman to deliver my mail. I told him about getting mail from my man and how important it was. He was like ok I will watch out for them. He is the first person I told when I got my approval to visit. We were high 5'ing each other. That was 5 months ago. Now when I don't get any mail, he tiptoes to my mailbox and uses the sidewalk instead of crunching the leaves on the lawn so I don't hear him. When I do get mail, he will hide it in the middle or at the end of the stack so I think I didn't get any. The longest I have gone without mail is 10 days. Last week I got a letter a day for 3 straight days, I was on Cloud 9 or 10 if there is one.

So I guess I am like all the rest, maybe even worse. But. I LIVE FOR MAIL !!!!!!!!!!
NO phone calls, NO visits, Mail is the best thing since sliced bread.
