Is your boyfriend a juvenile. If he is I am not sure that anyone in the fire camp forum can answer your questions cause it deals mainly with the adult camps. I would think the rules for the juvenile camps are much different.

Yes they do. Pine Grove is one of them.

Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp
13630 Aqueduct-Volcano Road
P.O. Box 1040
Pine Grove, CA 95665
(209) 296-7581

I never heard of that one before

S. Carraway Public Service and Fire Center
2800 Wright Road
Camarillo, CA 93010
(805) 485-7951
Conservation camp for males and females.

Criteria for Juvenile Firefighters
Juvenile offenders earn their way into camp placement. Wards must be medically fit, have between four and 36 months left to serve, must be free of major rule infractions, and have no history of escape with force or violence. Wards convicted of sex offenses or arson are excluded.

The California Youth Authority also trains inmates for Fire Camp.
