This is my first post ever, so bear with me if the question sounds silly or is in the wrong spot.
Does anyone know the number I can call to find out an inmates housing info? While looking up my friend's brother on the cdcr inmate locator, I saw an old friend on there. I know it's him because I know his inmate number. Anyways, I wanted to write him a letter. Do I just call the main number? I tried downloading the phone list but it won't open on my phone. Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, and would they find it suspicious if I inquired about two inmates at once?

You don't have to have his housing info. Just put his CDC # next to his last name and they will get mail to him - then he can write back and tell you his full address. It may take a couple of days longer for him to get his mail tho - but not by much.

Here's the address for inmate mail at PB in case you don't have it:

First name, last name CDC #
P O Box 7500
Crescent City CA 95532

Question information needed pls

Hi ladies, my boyfriend was just transferred to PBSP Shu, and I'm lost . I need some information please. Can anyone please tell me how the visiting process works? The dress code? Are they really strict on the dress code? In order for him to get a visit does he have to wait the 2 weeks for classification? He was telling me that there is a season that rains for like 2-3 months straight and for me not to go visit then, do you guys know when this is? Any information is highly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Juans,

I do not know about the 2-weeks, my husband was up there 3 months before I visited.

The weather in fall - spring can be real dicey. There's normally a lot of rain, I got married up there 12.1.12 and that was the weekend of the Pineapple Express (what the heck is that???) more rain than you can ever imagine and enough to bring a giant Redwood tree down and close the 101.

There's often times a lot of fog, so when you travel try and get up there before dark. If you go via the 101 it won't have snow tho, as it's right next to the coast so that is a blessing.

IDK where you are travelling from? Most women try and car pool as it's so expensive to go on your own. Even tho you probably have a cell phone with you there will often be no signal in the Redwoods, which lasts for about 5 hours of the last part of the drive up there via 101.

The town is approx 15 minutes from the prison. Pretty much a "one horse" town so don't expect much.

Not sure if you will be visiting GP or SHU - if you are visiting SHU or Ad Seg (my husband was in Ad Seg for a year up there waiting for a spot in SHU) you will need to call the Monday of the week you'll be visiitng on the weekend to get your appt confirmed. The visiting number is 707-465-1000 x5425. It can often times be a very frustrating experience getting thru other times its right thru so no rhyme or reason to that.

Usual visiting clothes guidelines apply - no blue, no orange, no blue denim, no "cammo" print. The metal detector is very sensitive so no metal buttons, rivets on jeans etc. No underwire bra or even metal adjusters for bra straps.

If you need more info please PM me as I'll see that sooner.

Best wishes
Valerie

Hey Chica....no phone calls unfortunately while in the hole. Sorry your LO, is in the hole. You should send him a writing package so you two can communicate. They allow a legal pad, envelopes up to 20, and a book of stamps.

The number on the caller ID, shows up as 713, the calls are channeled thru Houston, TX.

Good luck and welcome to PBSP.

Hi...A yard does have the hole (adseg).
Depending on where you are at, I get mail within 2 biz days and I'm in the Bay Area. So its pretty steady right now.

Hi!! My man just called, it was a 30 second free call. I was so excited to hear from him, I didn't write down the phone number down to set up a phone account. Does anyone know the phone number or company I need to go through? Thanks!!!
