An abstract is a short summary of the main points.

"Both Abstract" means that the paperwork that the court prepares (known as Abstracts) that goes to the CDCR with the inmate, is complete.

"Abstract" refers to Abstract of Judgment and any other paperwork that might be necessary to communicate the conviction requirements and credits to CDCR. It's a bit pointless for the rest of us to know as far as any personal meaning, but if CDCR or LASD need to reference it, then the information is there.

You're not wrong! Just their way of saying "we pared down the paperwork so you're only getting what you need-- you know, the main points so far as you're concerned, and they're ready to go".
