Default Son is in Calhoun ,looking for training programs etc

My son asked me to look into training programs, work camps or something like that . He mentioned working on a dairy or something like that. He said he heard Georgia has inmates that work with horses and cattle. He would even like to do vocational training. He doesnt want to just sit and rot away. He is in Calhoun. I have no idea where to even start. He was not very clear on what or how. Does Georgia have opportunities like that for inmates ? If so where do i start to get info and possibly point him in the direction to apply ? Thank you

He could start with talking to his counselor at Calhoun. They should know or be able to find out if there are programs like that at other facilities. I know there are several that have canine training programs but haven't heard of any with cattle or horses.

Here is some info on transitional centers. Not sure if this is what you are needing however. Hope it helps.

Apparently I can’t add url for the site I found these on (since I’m new here as well and have <25 posts) but you can try googling “transition centers Georgia dcor” and it will come up.
