Mr & Mrs Poppi. May 25th 2013

Hey Family!!
Right now I'm bubbling over with happiness, anxiety and a little fear. Poppi asked (again!!!) Ok,, let me back this thing up for yall that don't know us. Ok,, We were MWI for like 7 years before he got out 32 days ago. During the time he was locked up, I bounced for like a year and a half. Before I left, he asked me to marry him,, of course I said yes, I was and still am MADLY, TRUELY, and DEEPLY in love with him (Eventhough he drives me nuts!!) But the fear of spending the last 4 years without him stopped me cold in my tracks... I didnt marry him,, of course he was hurt but ultimately understood and we moved past it.

Fast Foward to today. He has movement on Mondays so he was out early, I'm a late sleeper. Ok, he called me this afternoon to tell me to meet him at the Linclon Park Zoo well have lunch or something. (?) For what,,, we aint got no kids and the grandbaby is with her Owners,, but ok. I've learned the hard way,, with this man,, you go with the flow. I get to the zoo, he's on my cell the WHOLE time I'm on my way to make sure I'm really coming and gauging my time of arrival. Ok, he's already found me a parking space and I find him sitting on the curb talking to himself so no one will ask him for the park. That was a good thing because North side parking is IMPOSSIBLE.

I wanna know whats up, why the hell I gotta travel from the south side to the north side to smell the funky animals? He tells me "He's so happy to have found that one special person he want to annoy for the rest of his life." I warm up, flattery will work everytime.

There is a man sitting on the bench drawing caricaturist pictures. He say lets go get one. I really didnt want to because I had the window down on the drive in so my hair was not it's best, but a few kisses on the neck kinda changed my mind. As we were walking over, the man turned the picture he was working on around it was a sketch of us two with word bubbles. His said, "Will you marry me?" and mine said, "Yes!" While I was looking at the pictures trying to *get it* he was already down on that knee with the most BEAUTIFUL RING EVER!! HERE COMES THE WATER WORKS!!!
He said he knows I'm marrying beneath me and would spend the rest of his days making me happy!! I love that lil ole boy!! Another thing he said that cracked me up was, (And I quote) " If it wasn't for the gifts and money, an elopement would be preferable." That boy a MESS!!!
The date is May 25th 2013. Time to start saving for the event of the year!!

Our love resembles a pair of shears, so joined that they cannot be separated; often moving in opposite directions, yet always punishing anyone who comes between them.

OK so since I've joined this site your posts have been some that have stood out to me even if it was just a reply and I remembered seeing that your man was getting out and knew that the day had come and gone so I had been curious as to what was going on. And then I saw this!!! I know I don't know you but awww this is such an amazing thing to see!!! Congrats to you and I wish you and your soon to be hubby many years of happiness!!!
