Default DWI while on parole

My boyfriend just caught a DWI charge (misdemeanor) and he is currently on parole. He has yet to contact his PO to make her aware of the Police contact. He did try but so far has not been able to get in contact with her. But from the charges he has violated his conditions, out past curfew, drinking & driving. Will he get time for the new charge and a violation?

I would guess yes. possibly he will get sent to Willard for a Substance Abuse Program--but since it also involves a curfew violation it could be more than that. Make sure he is documenting his attempts to call the PO>

Unfortunate I dont believe he is eligible for Willard because he is a Class A2 Felon. I'm expecting him to do time just kinda wondering how much. For the DWI he will probably get the year, just unsure about the parole violations.

So he did get in contact with his PO, she told him to come in tomorrow. My question is do you think they will detain him? Thanks

He will most likley get a sanction for violating his parole, and if the DA wants to, they can file new charges on him and he could do county time....That is the way they do it in my county anyway.

Peace~

He will be given a sanction by the parole board, after that, he will serve hsi county time on the new charge.

Peace~

Thanks for the reply...I truly do hope that is the case. Either way I'm prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. While yes I know my man was fully in the wrong I am still going to stand by him. This isn't enough to tear me away.

this happened to a friend of mine in March. He too was on parole and got a DUI. Parole revoked, bail was set at $7500. He received county time for the charge at Parole suggestion and after that he will finish the remainder of his parole violation in a state facility. He won't be released till mid March 2013.

Well I have at least another week with my man. Went to see his PO today and they didn't detain him but he has to report again next week and who knows what will happen then. Still expecting and preparing myself for the worst but always hoping for the best.
