Default Order of probation...????

Hi All!

Just saw my BF last night at county and he showed me a pink piece of paper called an "order of probation". He is the only one on his block who has one. Now, I called the probation office and they told me that inmates don't actually get an order of probation until they are actually ready to go on probation, but my BF just got sentenced the four yr spilt and has been at county a little over 3 weeks.
So why does he have this peice of paper?
Some people are saying that the judge is just giving him a chance to prove himself, and maybe he won't have to serve the four years. That after he goes to Kilby to be processed, he'll come home. To me, this just sounds, quite honestly too good to be true, but on the other hand, I don't know what to make of that paper, given what the probation office told me.
So what do you guys think?

Julieb.

I hope it means what you think. But I wouldnt get my hopes up.. Just go with the flow, if it happens it happens. You just dont want to feel crushed if it doesnt mean what you think. If you just go thinking hes doing four years the suprise will be nice if he doesnt...

Actually no, he isn't. He took a plea for involuntary manslaughter.
Funny thing is, even the judge said it was just a tragic accident...another one of those stupid mistakes brought on by drugs and alcohol.
Maybe the judge is giving him another chance. I don't know. I guess we won't know until he goes to Kilby.
