Info about Winslow?

Hi All-

Just wondering if anyone else has loved ones in Winslow. Mine is in Apache, moved from Coronado in December 2011.

I'm going to visit in September and have no idea what to expect. Any insight would be appreciated.

My Boyfriend was just transferred to Winslow as well last week. I want to go for a visit soon, I am hoping to find someone who wants to carpool! Does anyone know of hotels near by to stay at? I am not sure I want to drive visit and then drive again, Ive done that before and its tiring.

I'm booked a room at America's Best Value Inn in Springerville, which I think is about 10-15 min drive from the Apache Unit. Don't know the area or anything, so not sure if this is helpful!

I'm going labor day weekend. I live in CA so it's going to be quite a trip!

The only one I have stayed at so far is the Best Western. It's about 7 minutes away from Winslow-Coronado and it was $110. It was really clean but I'm curious about the other hotels in town.

I just booked the American Best Value Inn. I read decent reviews on hotels.com. What I want to know is what restaurants are around and what is there to do there?? I will be staying more than one days and I want to know what there is to do in the evening. Anyone?
