I used up my stamps on Jpay but now use Access Corrections and have done for quite a long time now. Ring the prison and ask
I believe it is specific to each facility and most likely not available at most and after calling Access Corrections, NNCC does not have that function/capability. However, I spoke with him by phone recently and he has received all of my mail, surprisingly as fast as a non inmate. That gives me a great sense of relief. Thank you for directing me to the answers I needed!

Did anyone ever get an answer on whether you can check to see if the emails we send are able to be seen as read?
Yes, I just posted in my original message. It is soecific to each institution and is not an option at NNCC. He did contact me last Wednesday after I contacted the head of family services. Within an hour of sending her an email, which I even sent after 5pm, he was brought a phone to his cell and we were able to talk for 30 min. In addition, the head of family services (which can be looked up on the NNCC website by clicking contact family services) has sent me email updating his progress through the classification process! I am just awed by the level of compassion and dedication that this lady has demonstrated. I of course know her name but I'm not sure what the rules are regarding this or I would gladly mention it and pass it along. This industry is desperate for more individuals of her quality.
