Default Tarrant County - Visitation & Email?

Hi, And ugh.... I sure as heck didn't want to be back on this forum, but a different loved one is heading to prison.

I have no experience with Tarrant County Jail -

Questions - do you know if I can give my brother a phone card that will work there?

Are the visits absolutely limited to 30 minutes?

Are they absolutely limited to two adults per visit?

Is there a way to send a jpay or email type of communication to an inmate at Tarrant?

Hi Amy ....glad you knew where to turn for info & support! I hope yur loved one has a safe & speedy journey through TDCJ.

I can't answer about Tarrant County, or TDCJ, with any certainty...but I did want to say Welcome Back

I'm guessing that you've already read Tarrant's Webpage, but if not, here's that link:

There is no mention of phone cards being acceptable or purchasable or of jpay / email

No phone cards - tarrant county uses securus. If you go to the securus website you can create an account, add your brother, and add money so he call call you for far less than the $15 collect calls.

Visits are 30 minutes and two people. It’s a pain. I used to drive 3.5 hours to see my husband through glass and a phone from 30 stinking minutes. He was able to beg the visitation guard to extend our visits to an an hour/hour and a half a couple times because i drove so far, but it was 30 minutes every other time when that guard wasn’t there.

Tarrant county also has tablets. all he will need is an email address. Then he can send you an invitation and from there you can make an account. you can text each other through the tablet and your phone or wherever you download the app. some say it's cheaper than talking on the phone
