Default Transfer closer to home

My son is doing 23 years for cp and is 16 hours away i am looking for info about ashland kentucky, forrest city arkansas and rochester minnesota low facilities or any orher lows close to st louis mo. I need ratio of SO's to other inmates. Or how SO' are treated. How safe it is I wasus.

The bop does have "target" populations of SOs in different prisons. Any SO Management Program prison does have a high rate of SOs. Some other non-somp prisons do too, but other PTO members who have personal experiences will have to tell you where.

He can request a transfer to a SOMP prison at any time, and can request a voluntary transfer to any other prison after 18 months of clear conduct where he is now.

Here is a link to the SOMP policy statement. It does not show which prisons currently have the program, but by checking the A&O handbook for each prison you are researching, you should be able to find out. Petersburg VA Medium is one that does.
