Default SATF Visitation and Dress Code

Can non contact visits be made by email, or is it phone only? If we can by email what is the email, and when do we send the request? I appreciate the help!

Yes! I did get a contact visit last week I am going again this weekend as well. It was surprisingly easy. I scheduled the appointment on Vpass. Once you get there you stand in line to get a pass, then you fill it out, then go back in line to turn it in. They then have you wait for them to call you. They did make me change my clothes, and I saw them send several people out to change so I would definitely recommend bringing several changes of clothes and you can change in the friends outside trailer. The visiting room filled up really fast. They were doubling people up at tables, which is nice instead of them just terminating the visit. Your able to bring in 50.00, in 1 dollar bills or coins, or quarters. The staff was suprisingly so friendly. I didn't expect it at all.

I was so nervous, but it turned out to all go really well.
I know it's all a lot, but I wish I would have known this stuff before I went

They have to be classified before they get contact visits so yes after orientation. Its is usually only about 7-10 days but you should call and make sure before you make an appointment. Good luck

You can see him after he completes orientation which is usually 10-20 day I believe and you have to be an approved visitor

They won't let anyone on the grounds til eight on the dot, so you can get there around 0745. There will be a line of women in cars along the same side of the road as the prison entrance. Just get in that line and at 8 you can drive up to start processing. Tell them it's your first time, they're usually very nice. Tell the guy/girl at the gate what yard and he will tell you how far down the parking lot you have to go. Then you can go into the building where they process you in. Get your paperwork to fill out, wait in line to check in/hand it in then wait to be called to the front for processing. Ima warn you now, everything in that town smells like cow poop. And not in a good "country air" kinda way.

my son was transferred to SATF on Monday. I called yesterday and they said I could make an appt on VPass. So I was able to get an appt for this Sunday. Do you think I will not be able to see him if he is still in Orientation? He was already classified at SQ

Good Morning all.

I had a wonderful visit with my son for the 1st time here at SATF.. Thank you all for all the information it was very helpful. They did terminate our visit on Saturday
My appointment was at 8 am on Saturday and at 10:30 they let us double up with this very nice couple. then at 2:00 we had to leave. Then Sunday I had an 8 am appointment When I left at 1:30 there was still empty tables. Kind of looks like that Sundays are not as busy.

Thank you again
