Hey guys,
New here, Currently residing in Connecticut. My inmate and I have only been together almost 3 mths, and I decided to ride it out with him. When you meet your person you don't question the universe.
My guy is currently in Varner serving 70% on 35yrs class y felony-murder 1. Test/pe date is 1/22/2021 so we are going for his first parole hearing then. I've tried to research all I can to be abreast on anything pertaining to parole release and y class felonies. I'm going to remain positive but I know all about discrectionary parole. He had a pretty clean jacket for the past 10 years but recently got a disciplinary 😢. But anywho any advice or kind words would help. Oh year and we are going for out of state parole to VA, so I'm thinking it will definitely be a good thing as far as change of place for continued "rehabilitation and adjustment"
Mrs YEW Clark, if I'm reading your post correctly, you're MWI, right? You've known him for 3 months? He's in Arkansas, you're in Connecticut. Please tell me you haven't been sending him money
Does he have family in Virginia? Family that is willing to let him parole to their home? If not, he will not be paroling to Virginia. Interstate Compact has explicit rules about out-of-state parole (http://www.interstatecompact.org/) Good luck with parole though, I do hope he is approved!!
I'm not trying to bring you down, I'm really not.....I've just been around the block a few times Don't get me wrong, MWI can work.....My Mr & I are MWI. There is a forum for MWI where you may want to say "hello" to others that are in MWI, too Here is that link: http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=645
Welcome to PTO

Reason: added link to MWI forum
Good morning I don't know that he can or can't parole to Virginia.....IC Rules (see link above) will dictate the answer to that: Is he a resident of VA? If not, does he have family there? He'll have to have an approved Home Plan that meets both parole and IC criteria. There are so many "ifs, and or buts" that I can't say if he'll be approved or denied. What I can say is that I truly hope everything goes as planned
So, you moving to Virginia as well? If so, how exciting for you! A new beginning in a new state and new abode
Yes moving back to Virginia, next summer so I will be well established before he's up for parole. And if comes to the family issue. By that point will be ready to be married anyways. Just enjoying the ride at this point.
