Default sara kruzan

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct forum, if not I apologize.

I just recently read this story about a woman named Sara kruzan I would post a link but idk how. If you go on YouTube she tells her story in about a 5 min video.

This woman is no longer a juvenile however when she was convicted at 16 for murder she was. Sara had an abusive mother and met a man named GG at the age of 13, he had her working the streets as a prostitute very soon after their meeting.

At the age of 16 Sara kruzan murdered her pimp because she was tired of the abuse. The judge told her she lacked "Moral Scruples" and sentenced her to life without parole.

This video literly made me sob when she talked about her life, her remorse, and she said now at 29 if she got the chance to talk to a.parole board , the first thing she would tell them is she finaly knows what "Moral Scruples" means.

This woman has spent years in prison, since she was just a child herself. What kind of world do we live in that we throw our children in prison for being led down a road of sex, violence, and drugs by an older man that victimized a young girl, then give her lwop for taking his life?

First let me say this, all life is valuable and I don't believe anyone has the right to take another's life but this woman's case is a prime example of unfair sentencing.

I urge whoever reads this to find the video and watch it and see what your views are on the subject. Do we really want to live in a country that prides itself on locking children away for the rest of their lives? What's learned or gained from this?

I hope you will all find the video and I pray to God by some miracle someone will find her lost in our injustice system and give her a chance at life she never had.

In 2011 the governor granted Sara clemency to 25 years with the possibility of parole. This proves with voices for these kids (some now adults) we can make a change.

Congrats Sara! You have my prayers and thoughts and support when you are eligible for parole. Thank God someone heard your voice!

Default stopslavery2012

more information at stopslavery2012 - and then hit the SARA KRUZAN WEDNESDAY page link...

WE ARE NOW CALLING BOTH GOVERNOR BROWN AND

ATTORNEY GENERAL HARRIS

Phone #

Governor: 916.445.2841 916.445.2841 hit 1, wait, hit 6
ATTORNEY GENERAL 916.322.3360 916.322.3360 - hit 1, then you must listen to all 7 options, and at the end hit option 0 for "speak to staff" if there is no one available - hit * and then hit 7 to leave a voicemail.

If the person that answers the phone says: "Why don't you put it in writing and mail or email us the information....etc."

Simply say:
"We have already sent over 100 letters, faxes, emails and memos and HAVE NOT RECEIVED ONE REPLY. So no,....I want you to take this message verbally and have the Governor and the Attorney General release Sara Kruzan, a child victim of human trafficking, from prison this week."

2 MINUTES OF YOUR TIME - THIS WEDNESDAY -

HELP A CHILD VICTIM OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING
PLEASE.....Call (916) 445-2841 Â Â Â (916) 445-2841 (916) 445-2841 Â - HIT 1, WAIT, THEN HIT 6 to get directly to the Governor's office.

Sara Kruzan, a human trafficking victim who has been in prison for the last 17 years after she was coerced by 2 of her pimps competitors to kill the man who raped her at age 11 and forced her into prostitution at age 13. The video above is brief and will help you understand her case. Additional information is to the right and below on this webpage.

At 16 years old Sara was tried as an adult, convicted, and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The California Supreme Court is reviewing Sara Kruzan's case this month and all of us need to (nicely) ask Governor Jerry Brown to immediately, and without condition release this child sex trafficking victim that has a job and family waiting for her.

Sara needs YOUR HELP THIS WEDNESDAY!!

Please call Governor Brown and ask him to grant Sara time served.

Here’s what to do:
1) Call Governor Brown (916) 445-2841 Â Â Â (916) 445-2841Â .
2) Express your support for granting of clemency to Sara Kruzan. Feel free to personalize your message and share your own story if you have one — the more personal, the better.

Governor Brown ,

In 1978 you were 3 years into your first term as Governor of the Golden State,......and Sara Kruzan had not yet been born.

Fast forward 16 years...........1994
You had a radio show that among other topics, focused on the inequity in our criminal justice system and your aim to CHANGE it. At that same time Sara, who was now 16, had been repeatedly raped for five years by men three times her age, sold for sex, beaten and tortured.

Fast Forward 16 years............2011
You are again the leader of one of the greatest states in our great nation. Sara sits in a prison cell in the state of California.
Former-governor Schwarzenegger recently commuted Sara's sentence but did not release her from her prison cell, which quite honestly makes no sense to us at all.

As President Abraham Lincoln stated so eloquently:
"If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong."

The members of CHANGE.ORG hereby request you correct this criminal justice inequity for this one particular case and use it as a catalyst to re-evaluate how our society handles the inequities child victims of human trafficking (slavery) face in America today.

Governor Jerry Brown:
It's 2011, please immediately, without hesitation or conditions, release Sara Kruzan from prison and help us all CHANGE THE WORLD!

peace,
phil cenedella
executive director
national association of human trafficking victim advocates

Dear Gov. Brown,
After 4 months of faxing, calling and emailing, I would really appreciate you reading the attached article from yesterday’s Sacramento Bee, then viewing Sara's short video and then giving her the FREEDOM us Californians know she deserves, …prior to my birthday this Thursday.

I am available over the Independence Day weekend to answer any questions. I have been in contact with Chip Flaherty from the Cal. AG office here in San Diego who is reviewing her case for the CA. Supreme Court (which is also considering doing the right thing and releasing her from prison).

I will do anything to help you make the right, and the historic decision: Immediately and without consideration release Sara Kruzan from Chowchilla prison.

peace,

619-886-1465 Â Â Â 619-886-1465Â cell

p.s. Sara has been offered a job with our national association that will start immediately upon her release, hopefully before this Thursday.
