This has happened to my fiancee. How long is your brother's sentence? The main reason state inmates are moved to Plymouth county is due to safety issues for them being in a state prison and they are shipped off to Plymouth if the state prison thinks they will be harmed in state prison. Plymouth cannot keep state inmates for longer than two years. Plymouth is not a good place for state inmates as the visits are only 30 minutes long and they do not get all the things that state inmates get like yard time (there is no yard at Plymouth), long visits, more freedom. The phone calls there are very expensive. I'm sorry this has happened. Feel free to private message me if you want.

My LO is in Plymouth. He is awaiting federal sentencing and has been there for 7 months. The boredom is killing him. They are locked down for such a large part of the day, no classes, not much outdoor time, no job because he is in a trial unit. Some guards let us visit 45 minutes to an hour. The one currently on duty on his floor is an ass and limits us strictly to 30 minutes. The only good thing I can say is it has been a very low violence experience to date and he is learning how to cope which should help him if he gets federal jail time.
