Default questions about phones

Hi, I'm new to all this. My Husband was just transfered to Holliday Unit on Monday from Galveston County. Can he buy a calling card to call my cell? He was able to do that and make collect calls to my cell from county. I got all his into on Wed and I sent him a letter yesterday. Also does anyone know how long it takes to send and recieve letters from there to dickinson?

I replied to your other post but he will not be allowed to buy a calling card and he will not be able to call your cell phone. You will need to get a landline to be able to receive calls from him. Eventually, inmates will be allowed to buy minutes off commissary but until then they will be calling collect or thru you prepaying CBS.

Thanks... He was sentanced 2yrs on a revoktion with time served. He is on 11 months served right now, and his parole review is in october. Without parole he is there till July next year... I don't know if I should wait till Oct to see if he comes home before putting money into a land line...even though 5 more months is a long time not hearing his voice...

From Houston it takes only one day so I would guess either one or two days max.

Default Welcome-Bleach

Hi and Welcome to PTO. They are not allowed bleach from everything I've read on PTO. Here's a link where the group discusses this. Hope it helps and blessings as always.

They are not allowed bleach but I can assure you that it is passed around on a daily basis. My husband actually prefers to wash his own clothes in the toilet so he does not have to get a change of clothes that may or may not fit him or have holes in them. While washing clothes in a toilet may seem crazy to us, it is normal for inmates to do this.

Ok oh well, not to be rude but sorta makes you think twice about if you want a hug or not when you see them...LOL J/K He could have crap all over him and I'd still hug him (I think) I havent touched him since Feb 24th... And though we've been together for 5 1/2 yrs our 1 yr wedding anniversary was March 8th and we had nothing more than a phone call... Thanks for the info guys, ya'll have been a big help. I just want to know if he will stay there or be moved again after eval? He only has 13 months left if he doesn't make parole in Oct...

Yes they bleach in the toilets or in the sinks but they do have the option of sending their clothes to the laundry but you do that at your own risk!!

Default I got a letter from him...

YAY! I got my first letter from my love today... He is doing good just has a sore arm they gave him 4 shots at one time even though he just had that all done at county. I am more at peace now that I've heard from him... I miss him sooooo much it's not easy being alone with 3 kids....

Im sure with washing the clothes in the toilet, if the man is a clean man then im sure you have nothing to worry about,lol.. lets remeber that b4 we make the toilet dirty it is clean water-smile. Also even though they are not allowed to have bleach there are other cleaning methods. Hope that helped ur concern.
