His going to school doesn't make a difference other than that it is his job and so it helps him earn his 10 days per month. He doesn't earn extra for going to school.

The CO has those projections in the computer about projected release dates. If the CO says Feb. 2014, I'd believe them!

My math says based on the numbers you gave in your post that he will be home 29 months (29.1 months actually) from when he arrived at DOC. So what month is that?

Hi Nan,
New to all this stuff. My b/f just went to South Florida Reception yesterday. He was just put on the DOC website and I wasn't too pleased. Maybe you can help me with these calculations so I can get prepared and have some normalcy back in my life. Here it goes
He was sentenced to 30 months, with just over 9 months time served. The doc website has a release date of 12-2-2014.
With gain time, can we at least figure out his release month?? Thanks so much in advance for your help

My calculation says he has to serve a total of 25.5 months. With 9 mos credit, he should be home mid July 2014.

Z - I'm still calculating July 2014 for you too. Perhaps the CO misread the line of his screen or there is other jail credit (not gain time but credit time)?
