I usually stay at the Fairfield Marriott in El Centro because I love the location. But there are several other hotels in the area if you're basing your decision on price.

YUP Marriott is by far the nicest place out there. its like 92$ a night using AAA or sometimes that's the rate I get without it. There are a ton of 30-60$ motels out there but you get what you pay for.

Default How can I check his status?

Hi all My boyfriends neighbor called me collect today to say there had been a cell phone found in my bf's cell. Now he's probably on C status and I was supposed to come this weekend Can someone let me know where I can call to check and when the last day I can do that by is? Also, will I be able to see him in that corner phone booth thing if I do still go? Thanks in advance.

Hey girls - I haven't posted here in such a while...but I do hope everyone is doing well!! Quick question, with in time, dress code has change a bit...I've seen on several occasions girls wearing mesh blouses…of course with a spaghetti strap or thicket straps shirt under…

Have any of you worn one? I wonder if I would be return…I feel it’s one of those things that once I take the risk, I’ll probably be returned…

Thanks in advance!!

Hey ladies n gents, I found a Golden Ticket for those doing overnight visiting at Centinela or other facilities in the SOUTH, n I mean SOUTH San Diego area. The Vacation Inn, off Imperial & the 8, on Cottonwood Circle, has AHHmazing rates! A single, 1 night $55.50! Now check this out, in addtion to a realllly clean room, the emenities include a kitchenette! Yep, yep, a fridge, micro, STOVE, eating AND cooking utinsels!! Oh, but thats NOT ALL, you get complimentary breakfast AND free drink in their sports bar!! Beer or house wine...and ta top that off, as if that wasnt already a killer deal, FREE WIFI INCLUDED too!
Now this is a serious FIND!! Even if ya just need a night away...(760 352 9700) Its super clean, and the lobby employes are nice and helpful...rare these days.
Its on the CEN side of the freeway, kaddie corner from Del Taco, just down the street from the Super 8...lol Super 8 front desk referred me when I inquired about discounted room rates in the area. Theres a pool, gym n sports bar too!

It's actually pretty easy, I just went for my first time to visit my husband about two weekends ago. You can make a visiting appointment online, be there on time and they will let you in, you fill out a paper slip they have there just so they know what you have on you, then they just do the basic search and they tell you where it is your going and they'll direct you towards it as well. Dress code, I think I was expecting them to be a lot stricter then they were, just to be safe I went in all black but my clothes was tight fitting and they let me right it I thought they were gonna have me change but thank god they didn't lol

Closest city is El Centro. There's an Olive Garden and Famous Daves beside the Marriott where I usually stay. There is also a Johnny Carinos in that same parking lot. There's a Carl's Jr, Starbucks and Burger King also in that same vicinity. The mall is across the street and it has a food court. A little ways down the street (closer to the prison) there's a street with In N Out, Church's Chicken and a lot of other places. I think I saw an Ihop as well.

Hello. New to CEN... I am used to a different location. I appreciate any advise.
Am I correctly understanding that you can make an appointment for Sat and Sunday???? And they do not go by your inmates number to determine which day you come on??? Do you just make two separate appointments on the VPASS System??? One for SAT and then again one on SUN?
I am confused because I thought you had to drive over a certain distance for the double visit day to apply.
Also Ladies, I know we are advised to not wear Underwire Bras... but have you been getting in with them still? If not... What about the little "hooks" in the back of bras.. are they being really strict with that. I know they are at some prisons so I am double checking. Thank you very much. I appreciate your help.

I have not gone both days so not sure. I would make the appt for both days and then ask when you show up on Saturday. No underwire bras! The little hooks are fine. What yard are you going too?

Default yard

Thank you for your response.
I was told his yard is A....
I did speak to visiting today on the phone. He was very nice and helpful. He said that I need to be able to get through the metal detector... so if the hooks set it off... well, I would need to change. I usually take the "wire" out of my wireless bras to get me in...and it worked at Norco even with the little hooks in the back still... but I think I will just go get a sports style so this won't even be an issue.
