Smile Federal RRC aka Half way Houses in South Florida

My Son will be released from prison soon and has been given the option of going to a half-way house for six months. Does anyone have knowledge or opinions pertaining to going or not going to a Residential Reentry Centers/Half-way housing in South Florida. Thank you in advance

Here's a link to all of the possible HWHs, 24 pages of listings at the bottom of the puff piece about how wonderful they are.
https://www.bop.gov/about/facilities...nt_centers.jsp

Find the most likely one (closest one to where he will be released to supervised release in Florida on his end of sentence date) and then contact them. Some HWHs are OK, but others are awful, so try to figure out which kind he will be sent to. You can ask for an advance copy of the "resident's" rule book(not inmates any more!).

Well, I don't know about Florida, but I think a community or HWH would be a good idea.

well i think it is going to be very helpful for Florida. But one has to make sure that HWH's should be ok. Some of them are really awful.
