I’ve done this, to break down the back of leather shoes that rub on my Achilles’ tendon, pour a really good portion of olive oil on the part that comes up in the back, massage the oil into the leather with your hands and fingers, work on breaking down the stiffness in the high back part with your hands, then take a rolling pin and literally pound the leather until it’s supple and pull the top of the heals back, sounds weird I know, however it worked for mine. GoodLuck

That's sounds like a great idea, thank you!

Just got back from shopping and a lady in a shoe store gave me this little pad you put under your heel so your foot gets elevated in the back a bit. But I also bought one of those stretching sprays and will put it on and beat the hell out of those shoes...

Camel pee for hair, and other natural remedies, are popular, it seems, in the Middle East. At least there it seems to have lots of sellers !!

There are many proponents of drinking the pee too for all sorts of health benefits. There is a long story why . . . I could not imagine such a thing but they are steadfast about it.

Where my dad lives, if you go so many km south by the border of Kazakhstan, there are places where they raise the furry camels for milk. Their milk is higher in fat than the typical Arabic camels ... but ...

I got this big introduction to camel pee solutions ... Such as to treat an eye infection .... blehhhh ... psoriasis...

I tried the camel milk but never will I touch the pee. The guy told me it helps with diabetes. I bought camel hair blankets and the warmest camel hair socks ... Camel milk chocolate was actually good! I preferred this kind to the Dubai stuff. In UAE, they call the chocolate an aphrodisiac ... I beg to differ ...

May be camel wool socks for breaking in the shoes then ... to get back on topic ...

If I can get this stuff in Dubai I’ll bring some next time I’ll go and sell it on eBay...

Ok, so I talked to my fiancé today about this thread and he really got a kick out it, but said to let you know that being a cowboy, and wearing boots all his life, the best way to break in a pair of leather shoes is to fill them with shaving cream and wear them all day, the leather should conform to your foot and problem is solved.

And as a side note, he said to let you know that your feet would smell good too....lol

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking 'cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you'll be walking out the door

**But where do I get Camel pee in my latitude? Do I need to go to Marrakech?***

You gonna take the Marrakech express?
(sorry)

No pee in my hair or shoes.

Maybe those heel cups (?) will solve the issue of the back of the shoe hitting that sensitive spot.
