Yesterday my guy who has only been released for 4 days now, cooked dinner for me and it was actually really good! After a decade of incarceration I wasn't sure what to expect. He is a very good cook and we like a lot of the same food! Bonus was he did the cleaning too

He made us wraps that were filled with rice, chicken, onions, green pepper, garlic, and cheese. It was just nice to watch him cooking, he said he missed it a lot! I was really impressed with the grocery shopping he did too! No ramen noodles LOL

lol @ the ramen. (tho I do like to have it sometimes, but would not like it as a staple)
When my hub got out, he made me one of their *burritos* oh holy cow, that was awful.

So tonight Im gonna do another corned beef and cabbage. Got to get some of the ingredients (cabbage, celery, maybe a few more potatoes as I only have a half a small bag of them)
I like CB&C and I saw some on sale the other day so I picked one up and froze that too.
After a few days of beautiful weather its supposed to rain today (again!) so I thought some comfort food would go well. Prolly be eating it for a few days too. lol. (bonus!)

Holy crap!!!
Apparently the price of celery is out of control. Granted the store around the corner from my house is on the high end. But tell me?
Have you ever seen the price of conventional celery 3.99 a bunch?????Or 1.99 per stalk?
The organic (which as you all know is usually higher price was 2.99)
I asked what happened.
They told me that the price has gone up due to two things. Snow in the fields, and a new fad diet so demand is high.
They are selling it at their cost.
wow.

I seem to recall the price is around 1.79 or so at the expensive time of year.
3.79 is out of control!!
