Wisconsin Prison & Jail Visitation, Phones, Packages & MailTopics / Information relating to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and local / county Jail visitation, phone calls, mail, inmate care packages, etc
My brother is in prison is Wisconsin. He is trans and he wants to order hygiene items from a female catalog. Marcus does offer female items, but he says that he's not allowed to order those where he is.
Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a way to either send him items from the women's catalog or to for him to get permission to order from that catalog?

I don't have the answer to your questions, but while waiting for someone with more information to respond, you might want to read around our forum for GLBT People in Prison over HERE., perhaps this issue has been discussed on there or you might even want to post your own thread. Good luck to you and your brother!

Short of that I have no clue and absolutely none that applies to Wisconsin.
Someone must have been through this before. You might try one of the trans advocacy organizations.
Idk..but probably wouldn't work, since he has a male appendage still and is listed male on I.D.'s which is why trans or not he's in a male prison. Plus, from personal knowledge of commissary rules if its two items that are on the list then they're mixed it becomes a contraband item!.
How stupid, anyways I figure that if its stuff/a catalog he's not allowed to use in there then its going to be considered contraband. And the items with ll be tossed out. Money and is iime wasted.
Oh and my little contraband concoction?...
It was only bergamot (a hair product that black ladies use,a great product one black chic told me of)and some sauve cherry almond lotion!. One night the co's did a random cell check and asked what it was, and then took it to throw away. :-( that's how I know..
