Ok Mr Brown now that you are starting to comprehend that this is not a game follow the suggestions that the judges have given you with in their latest ruling and the problem will be well on the way to being solved. Un do the wrong of Pete Wilson and release older Lifers as is suggested.

This is simply a case of you are caught California and now you just need to do the right and ethical thing. The court has done what you should have done long ago, identified the populations that can be safely released, hand fed the information to you, and shown you how these releases will solve the problem. Now just suck it up and do it. Stop whining and just do it.

What about the guys that are out of state or don't they factor into the equation? Will they be brought back or not?

I agree, they have to bring back the out of state inmates anyway. That is a part of the order. Yesterday I read that Brown is begining to back down on his threats to go to the Supreme Court. This whole situation he has created is unprecidented and he knows that defying a court order is not going to be successful and costly. He has what he wants and that is to be able to blame the feds if crime goes crazy. Not gonna happen. But rest assured, as they do with AB109, every time some ding dong does something stupid, they will broadcast it, but never do they mention the parolees that do well, never. Politics....uggggghhhhh

Rest assured they are trying scare tactics like crazy.
Mayb we could try something novel like mental health services and addiction treatment .
A very large percent of those incarcerated need those options and it would not only be humane buy more cost effective.
I could dream abourt education and job training too.
I hate the thought of so many people being treated as throw aways.

My husband is a California lifer who is over 55 and 27 years over served on his 7 to life sentence. He is going into his 36th year of incarceration. Mr Brown see the light and realize he isn't going to reoffend and bring him home it is time.

Ladies and Gents, as I have said when all this first jumped off there is too much money to loose by complying with the LAW that has be placed before them. What is going to happen is that the FEDS will step in and start their own release program, the FEDS will also fine Mr. Brown and the state of Cali for all of this foot dragging!

I am inclined to agree with you. The next thing Brown will come up with a stupid plan that remains out of compliance. The FEDS will take over and release the populations they have already identified and Brown avoids political critiscm and outcry from the public. The issue will no longer be his problem. I have felt this has been the plan from the beginning

Yes I agree as well, and quite honestly that would be fine with me. Brown and Big Green aren't capable of looking at the situation/condition objectively. The critical element to this whole thing besides getting to 137.5 %, is maintaining that level as to be able to provide effective and timely healthcare, provide a safe environment for staff and inmates as well. Sentence reform is something that hasn't been talked about much, but if you think about it, CDOC is the recipient of the actions of local DA's and Judges. There is where we need to stop the bleeding. Anything else is band-aid providing short term relief.
