What is Jpay? Does it work in county? Does anyone know if Oregon allows email in any form? It would help our writing back and forth be so much faster. How do I find out about this stuff? I hope I don't need to use it but I'm preparing for the worst. Someone please pm me.

My love is in Washington state. We have email. We can write as much as we want but it costs one "stamp" per page. Stamps are 25 cents each. It also cost a stamp to email him a picture. He can't print it out but he can keep it and look at it when he wants to. I LOVE email, I get an email each day (except weekends) and it is great! Hell we hardly write regular letters anymore, since I see him every weekend.

The email through Jpay is 44 cents per page or scan. For example, if you send an email that contains enough text to cover two pages and you attach a photograph to the email, it cost $1.32 (3 'stamps'). When you log into Jpay, it tells you if your loved one is in a facility that accepts email. I think you can make them as long as you want. In Texas, they print it out and deliver the hard copy to them within 48 hours. Unless something has changed recently, they cannot answer via email and must answer the old-fashioned way.
