....now that the blister on my finger finally healed from accidentally dipping it in hot oil while making taquitos earlier in the week.

Burns are the worst!!!

A gash I can deal with; even one needing stitches, but burns are just too painful and grease burn even more so.

That is one reason I rarely fry and thing.

I hate cutting myself. I always take a long time to heal when I do. Hell, even papercuts.

Trying to think of what to make for dinner tonight. Last night I ate leftovers from the chinese place went to around the corner. Its a nice little hole in the wall place with pretty good prices and they always give you alot. I can never finish it. So hurray for leftovers!

I have hamburger and chicken and I think pork chops in the kitchen freezer.
Thinking maybe the pork chops.

I ate chicken strips at a friends house!!! Well I'm finally starting to have a social life of sorts!! My friend came over after work and said she was bored lets get drunk!! We kinda did but not falling down or anything just laughed and had fun!! Her mother was like do you two think it's appropriate to be drinking during the day...LOL Like what we should wait till after dark to make it acceptable?? Her mom is a good friend of mine but she acts like she's a hundred years old, I get so frustrated with how boring it can be here. Anyway we had fun and chicken tenders???

I think tonight will be Papa Murphy's pizza! All but the youngest child will be at their dad's this weekend and my guy's brother is coming over for dinner and drinks. Definitely ready for the weekend!

Trying to figure a party dish to bring to my friends house for a football game? I'm thinking chicken carbonaro, linguine, garlic bread, salad.

Yum. That sounds good.
There is always the layered chip dip thing.....darn it. Cant remember what that all has in it, but I know its got avacados, tomatoes sour cream......and corn chips.
darn it. Now Im sorta hungry. lol.

Second thought for dinner for us is, Hub bought the ravioli lasagna tray again...its been in there for about 2 days. I'll either need to cook it, or freeze it.

Plus we are probably going to the beach today to get the dog some exercise and some fresh air. Maybe we will stop for chowder. (and of course french bread)

I think finger food is easier for a party like that, but if you do make the pasta dish I'd suggest a shape like bowtie or shells.

Side, I think that is 7 layer dip - I love that stuff.

Speaking of bread, what about a savory pull-apart loaf made in a bundt pan?

Actually I have a huge amount of penne, so linguine is out. Also this can all be baked like Ziti so for a big gathering its easy to do ahead.

Penne is easier to eat - and trust me I eat enough pasta to know these things.

I was going to make baked ziti the other night but we ended up having spaghetti instead. Because, again, my guy's brother was there and spaghetti is quicker to make lol!

We had lettuce wraps with ground beef, tomatoes, cheese, avocado and sour cream. I just started keto and I'm loving all these fats I get to eat!
