Connecticut woman seeks release after 27 years in prison
Bonnie Jean Foreshaw has been imprisoned for the past 27 years on a premeditated murder conviction for the 1986 killing of Joyce Amos, of Hartford.
Foreshaw was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the killing of Amos, whose unborn child also died.
She is set to be freed in August 2017 with credit for good behavior, but her lawyer is seeking her immediate release.
The 66-year-old Foreshaw, who is being held at the York women’s prison in East Lyme, will be at the hearing, and many of her supporters plan to attend.
Hartford State’s Attorney Gail Hardy, who didn’t hold the post when her office prosecuted Foreshaw, didn’t return a message seeking comment
