Have you checked out the husbands and boyfriends in prison forum? It has been really helpful for me...and a lot of us feel/ have felt exactly the way you do!

Most of us on here know what you are feeling. We have been there and pulled through. This is not an easy road but it is a well traveled road. There will be rough patches and things will get more tolerable. You will be stronger than you thought you could be if you choose to travel this road with your loved one! Knowledge is power and that is what we try to provide to people. You will be able to help your loved one by gaining that knowledge. Good Luck!

Lions Heart, this is why I love reading your posts. We think alike but you are better at putting it into words. RA

praying is good, it will help you get through 1 day at a time, helps you to be strong, even when you think you wont be, you will cope, some days will be hard like holidays his birthday, but we learn to try to share it with them as much as we can. what helped me was i would think it is not forever, he WILL be home , and it did make our relationship a lot stronger, and to respect each others feelings. so hang on, cry if you have to coz it does make you feel like you llet it out, my joy came from above, it was like he put peace upon me to handle everyday life with him far away from me, so keep strong and good luck

The love of my life is at Robert Cotton, and I myself was just recently released from Huron Valley! We've been together for 8 years got in a little bit of trouble in 2015 and now we are paying for it! Even though I'm out I still feel as though I'm still doing time because I'm lost without Kyle! I still have 2 years til he gets to come home, I just know time is as hard out here without them as it is being in there without us!

You will do well, give yourself time, time to fall apart if you need to, then time to put yourself back together. Believe me, we have all fallen apart to some degree or another. Being here and reading others are sad or happy really helps. So, WELCOME!
