Default Do inmates get notices of JPAY commissary funds?

I'm writing an inmate in Oregon. Do inmates get a notification when funds are added to their commissary funds?

They sure do. Careful kruise, don't give up your wallet.

The system doesn't always work as intended, but they do always get a statement from canteen that shows how much they have left in their account - so if you put in $50, even if he doesn't get the notification of the funds added, he will get his balance for his canteen account, and that will show $50 more than he thought he had.

That said, they're also pulling money out - I don't remember the exact numbers, but some comes out for "savings" so if you send $50, he will get maybe $47. And because they pull it as a percentage, it won't be a round number, like $47 - it'll be more like $47.13 which makes things look funny when you tell someone you sent them X and they get >X instead.
