Thumbs up First Day of School Was a Success

Tried to put the four girls to bed early yesterday night. So they would be bright eyed and bushy tailed for their first day of school in a new system... I got up at 5:00 AM as usual. Rather than writing their mother a letter,, I値l put that off until the girls are in school, I packed the girls their lunches.. And start breakfast! Then woke them up at 6:00 so they could jump in the shower, blow dry hair, get dressed, and we値l all sit down for breakfast... The two younger girls cleaned up the dishes.. While I took off with the two oldest girls to high school. I took them to the office to get their schedules, and see them off to their first class.. Returned home and snatch up the younger two and took them to their school. And introduce them to their new teachers..

After all that excitement,, I returned home to write their mother today痴 letter and daily card..Then dropped them off at the post office.. Returned home to cut the grass, attended the garden, picked some fresh vegetables for our dinner.. And put a pot roast in the oven.. Then played in my garage, changing the fuel pump in one of my cars... When I was finished with that project. I clean up and took a shower.. Then made some mash potatoes, and broccoli and green beans.. I値l fix up the gravy just before we sit down for dinner.. With dinner almost finished, I went to fetch the girls... When we returned, we sat down to talk about school, over hot early dinner. So we could go shopping for all the supplies their teachers requested...

The girls were non-stop talking about their new school. After we returned home, they were all eager sit down to write their mother a letter. I added some photos I took of their new clothes we purchased on our trip last month.. Along with some candid shots of their schools and new teachers... And now they are going to bed,, to repeat it tomorrow. Less the shopping trip... I don稚 know anyone else痴 day went. But I felt as if I accomplished a lot today... Now as I知 readying myself for bed,, alone.. I知 teary eyed,, wishing that their mother was here to feel all the joy of her daughters... She missing out of so much! In my prayer tonight, I値l thank God for giving us a good day, and having the four wonderful girls in my life.. Make that five girls,, cannot forget their mother,, The Love of my life..

What an awesome day you had..I was worn out justing reading about it. May your loved ones [all 5] be happy and know that the love you have for them will always be there. Daughters and grand-daughters are special people..and you make them more special by all you do for them.
Kia Kaha..stand strong.

I love reading your posts. You embody the words, "dad" and "husband". Despite the difficulties of having your beloved in prison, you and your family are very lucky. I wish you all the very best.
