I just read this thread and all I can say is WOW, so sorry for you and anyone else who commented in this thread that has ever had to deal with anything like this. I cannot imagine what you are going through or have had to go through. You are one brave woman!!

That said, I think there are also devices that you can put on the outside of your house that act as motion detectors/sensors that light up or perhaps there are ones that even sound an alarm if he even tries to show his face again. Those would get him scurrying out of there. Perhaps you can also mount a camera (like a nannycam) outside your house and hide it in a planter or something, that you can catch him lurking around, so you have evidence to show the police and/or in a court that he was trespassing on your property.

Additionally, do you have a dog? While I'm not a dog lover, maybe that's another option.

While I understand your propensity to want to get a gun, do you really think that's the way to go? You have your daughter with you (not sure how old she is), and what if he does show up and you point the gun at him and he has a gun? Or, he overtakes you and shoots you instead? Or, you shoot him and you're taken into custody and charged? I don't see a gun being a solution and it can just make matters worse for you.

Also, do you have a burglar alarm? You want to make sure he doesn't get into your house while you're gone! You can get wireless alarms fairly inexpensive these days and I know the doorbell camera things that hook up to your wifi phones (so you can see who's ringing your doorbell) are also not expensive. My neighbors all have those and my brother had a nanny cam like thing when they got their dog so they could watch the dog on the iphones whenever they weren't home. I know, whatever floats their boat.

I agree that 50 mins to come back is ridiculous and he was probably hiding the first time they came, which means he knows he has you scared. But he also knows you aren't going to take the shit and will call the police if need be.

You should try to see if you can find out where he is staying. Isn't there a parole office or officer that you can report him to? At least put them on guard?

Again, I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hang in there!!

Update...
He was picked up and deposited into the county jail at 11:55 pm last night so for now, the pressure is off. Until (if) he bonds out anyway.

Yes! Was he picked up for stalking you or something unrelated? Stay safe and make sure you follow when he is released so you’re prepared and on guard!! Some people clearly never learn!

Sounds like time is of the essence to get him served with a protection order.
