Default Sher in Tx.

My children and I are Cherokee on one side of the family and Choctaw on the other side. Because I was raised with my Cherokee/Scots great -grandmother I've always considered us to be Cherokee.

My paternal Great-grandma was Choctaw. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, MS. She worked as an indentured servant and a wet nurse. Her last name was Bell.

I am adopted and have been told all my life that I am part Indian, but no one really knew what tribe. They suspected Cherokee but that was it. I have recently been contacted by my birth family and have found that I am Chickasaw with a little bit of Cherokee mixed in. It really good to know your heritage and I am very proud of mine.
