Two Limestone prison guards arrested for selling drugs in jail

The Associated Press
10/9/02 12:32 PM

ATHENS, Ala. (AP) -- Two state corrections officers and a cousin of one of the officers were arrested for selling ecstasy and marijuana to inmates in Limestone Correctional Facility.

Marshall Dewayne Brown, 26, of Madison, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, and Leslie Harold Corsbie, 32, of Muscle Shoals, was charged with promoting prison contraband, said Sgt. Richard Frasier, a prison spokesman.

Brown's cousin, Thijuan Lamarcus Williams, 27, of Arlington, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, Frasier said.

All three were in the Limestone County Jail on Wednesday with bonds set at $25,000 each for Brown and Williams and $15,000 for Corsbie.

Marijuana and ecstasy pills were hidden in candy bars to be smuggled into the prison, Prison Warden Billy Mitchem said.

Brown was an officer at the prison for four years and Corsbie for a year. Both resigned Tuesday.

Well well looks like someone got caught. Now watch them slap them on the back of the hand and send them on their way.
