Default What does "split" sentence and "post imprisonment" mean in Oklahoma?

Hello. My brother just was shipped to Lexington yesterday, and my mom and I have some questions. We noticed on his DOC page he has "split" by his sentence (7 yrs) and probation time (3 yrs), and he also has "post imprisonment" of 1 year. What does "split" and "post imprisonment" mean? thank you in advance for your response

Lexington Oklahoma? There is also a federal medical center prison in Lexington, KY, and the answer will depend on where he was sentenced.

He has a split sentence so much in and the rest probation. Also post is another type of probation after he gets out, from what I understand its like a year they add. Really not sure how post add's in, but I'm sure someone will come along and explain that part better. Also if it's non violent crime (ie drugs etc) for every 1 yr he done he can earn good time credit up to 2 yrs. SO if he was doing like 3.5 yrs for the 7, and 3.5 on paper, he could come home in 2 yrs . You can read on the Dept of corr. web page and it will you understand credit and levels. Most of the time they come out of lex's a level 2 and he'll get a review every 4 months. The higher the level the faster he'll be home. Once he reaches level 4, he'll be min level and have a lot more freedom but still in prison. Hope it helped some. Just tell him to stay to his self and keep out of trouble while in there. Don't get caught up in the prison games. And don't borrow from anyone, and get in debt.
