Default Dad

I lye awake at night
With a. different memory
Dad, it's too difficult
to know you're gone
from me.
The world is such
a lonely place
My hero does. not
In paradise can you
look down
And see how much
You're missed.?
Your smile, your humor
Your strong presence
Shaped my world
Now I have only the
Pages to look back on
Taught to me as a
little girl.
Daddy I love you
So much and it hurts
With every breath
I take,
In my dreams. I miss
You, and every second
I'm awake...

To my dad who died

Thank you for sharing your poem.
"Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again." Nelson Mandela.

Who cares what they say about us? Because when I am with you I am standing with an army.
