Default My hug

He used to cone home from
work to two little girls
His favorite daughter and
the chubby one in curls.
He would hug only one
and have an excuse
for the other
In my mind I those words
are embedded said by my
mother
"Dickie you're ruining Donna
its not fair"
I'd stand waiting for my hug
he couldn't spare.
Growing older the favoritism
became more obvious and
known,
I craved my daddy's hugs
even after I was grown.
The death of my fiancee
and the still born son
I had,
Still didn't qualify me
a hug from my dad.
I tried every angle, but
was always denied
Finally it dawned on
me how long I had tried.
The favorite daughter
became the one to disgrace
My fathers ministry
and the theif of his place.
In a coma like state
days before leaving to
eternity,
My father reached out
and gave to me
The long awaited hug
that said I love you
You will be okay
April 13th marks a
moment, a part of me
went away..
